301.  HISTORIC GALVESTON & QUILT SHOPS TOUR  $124

Start the day off with a wonderful stop at the Painted Pony ‘n Quilts shop, a must-see stop in La Porte! Travel with us to the coast and tour another one of Galveston’s most incredible historical homes, Bishop’s Palace, constructed of steel and stone (it survived the Great Storm of 1900 virtually unscathed). Bishop’s Palace soars three stories tall with steep roofs and long sculptural chimneys. Enjoy a delicious lunch at an island favorite, Sunflower Café, then finish the day off with a stop at Cactus Quilts in Texas City, which offers a great selection of the best fabrics from many companies.
