206. SCHOOLHOUSE SERIES WITH BOX LUNCH $61
WHAT? International Quilt Market’s popular Schoolhouse Series continues in an exciting, information-filled forum for manufacturers, publishers, and retailers to present new products, techniques, and books to you. Spend an unhurried afternoon the day before Market opens rotating among class offerings.
WHERE? Schoolhouse schedules are available to enrollees two hours before Schoolhouse begins at the Schoolhouse check-in located in front of the Oregon Ballroom, #201. At this time, you can outline your session preferences for the day. Over the course of the day, over 250 Schoolhouse sessions are taught. Sessions are conducted in 15-30 minute intervals. At any given time, 20-25 presentations are in session. You may choose one presentation to attend in each 15 or 30 minute interval.
WHEN? 10 am-6 pm Thursday, May 17. Time is allotted for a lunch break in two shifts, should you choose. The Schoolhouse sessions scheduled for the “lunch break” will be repeated. Taking a lunch break will not cause you to miss any valuable information.
WHY? Schoolhouse Series is dedicated to profitability through education. Schoolhouse is your opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge from those who make, design, or write about the products you want to sell. Learn easy-to-present formats for in-shop classes.

A TRIP TO THE STITCHIN’ POST!
600. $336 DOUBLE OCCUPANCY
601. $436 SINGLE OCCUPANCY
Day 1—Mt. Hood and Sisters—Depart Portland at 9 am to travel southward to Central Oregon. Ascend to Timberline Lodge at the 6,000 foot level of the mountain with time for a guided tour, time to explore, and have a Taste of Oregon lunch buffet in the historic lodge. Then you’re off to the city of Bend for the afternoon. Known as quaint and sophisticated, it is the fastest growing city in Oregon. A visit to Crescent Moon Alpaca Ranch is next. Luxurious alpaca fiber is one of the rarest and most treasured natural fibers in the world. We’ll stop at both BJ’s Quilt Basket and Sew Many Quilts-So Little Time for a look before we settle into our hotel in Bend. The evening will be yours to meander through the Old Mill District shops and paths along the Deschutes River.
Day 2—Sisters and The Stitchin’ Post—Have breakfast and then set off for the picturesque town of Sisters. This authentic western town is home to the Stitchin’ Post quilt and fabric shop, one of the most well-known shops in the Pacific Northwest, as it hosts one of the largest quilt shows. They will set-up a “Make It & Take It” class, plus lunch. There will also be time to browse and shop a bit more before we depart through the Santiam Pass scenic highway, to reach Portland by late afternoon.
