Please join us for a day visiting local shops and historic areas for inspiration as well as shopping. Multiple buses depart from and return to the convention center. Price includes transportation, all entrance and/or entertainment fees, lunch, tour guide, and gratuities.

Take a trip to College Station, TX as we stop in at George H.W. Bush Presidential Library, 41st President of the United States – learn about his past, presidency and the worldwide support of his legacy. Continuing on our journey we head over to have a delicious and quaint lunch at the Blue Baker Restaurant. Finish the day off with great shopping at Lone Star Quiltworks, THE quilt shop in Bryan/College Station, Texas. Lone Star Quiltworks stocks over 6000 bolts of fabric, hooking wool and supplies, a large selection of notions, books, kits, and patterns. Plus, they have an excellent staff to help you with whatever quilting or sewing project you are working on!!

Housed in two historic 1890’s buildings, The Texas Quilt Museum in La Grange, provides a fine showcase for both antique and contemporary quilt art. Nearby, guests will also find great shopping at Quilted Skein and delicious cuisine at Celebrations by Bistro 108. Then it’s on to Festival Hill in historic Round Top, this 210-acre campus contains performance facilities, historic homes and gardens. Guests on this tour will be able to stop and shop at an amazing Katy location shop - Sew Special Quilts has Bernina and Baby Lock sewing machines, a selection of colorful fabrics, and a wide array of notion and tools. Of course there are prizes! Door prizes, table prizes, participation prizes, and extraordinary raffle prizes—all to benefit the International Quilt Association.

 

A sewing machine will headline the raffle table!  Plus there's always wonderful prizes to win, such as
 thread, rulers, tools and much more. You just never know what we will raffle off—so bring your friends
 and settle in for a night like none other as we spark your creative notions and tickle your funny bone.
 The Quiltapalooza runway has showcased some extraordinary creativity over the years and you won’t
 want to miss this Halloween edition—sure to include some crazy outlandish fun with a healthy dose of quilting puns.

 

It's the International Quilt Association's 40th anniversary, and this annual fundraising event is held, in part, to show the more playful side of the association. When it comes right down to it, there is just no such thing as too much fun when you attend the Houston Quilt Festival. So please join us for this spooky night of fun and games!
