Thank you for taking part in our first ever Virtual Quilt Festival! We hope that you enjoyed the experience! While we couldn’t meet in person this time, we will again next year October 28-31 (with Preview Night on October 27) in Houston!
However…just because the live event is over, doesn’t mean your VQF experience is! You still have access to all of your recorded Classes, Lectures and Forums until December 12, 10 pm CST. And our Vendor Mall, Vendor Products, Vendor Deals, Quilt Galleries, Contest Gallery, Open Studios Videos, Attendee Messaging, and Virtual Café sections will be available until March 5, 2021, 10 pm CST.
The Live Help Desk is closed, so we put together this FAQ to help answer some of your questions. If you have any further comments, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is the best browser to view Virtual Quilt Festival?
We recommend Google Chrome for the optimal viewing experience.
Should I use the show website or app?
If you are on a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet, we recommend you use the website for the best experience. Phone users should download the VQF app from the Apple or Google store for the best experience. Search for “Quilt Festival.”
What is the website? How do I enter the show?
Click HERE to enter VQF. You may need to input your account email and password the initial time.
I don’t see anything on www.quilts.com?
That is the website for Quilts, Inc. and all of our shows and projects. The VQF website is separate and the link is HERE.
How do I view recordings of my classes, lectures, and events?
Enter the VQF site. Click on the “My Schedule” tab in the main menu, and the agenda for your paid educational events will open. Click on the date of your event, then the event title. You’ll see a “View Recording” button to play the video. The only two events that were not recorded were Jenny K. Lyon’s Lecture “Quilting is a Contact Sport!” (#118) and Kathie Beltz’s Easy Color for Quilters (#316).
I’m being asked to “accept” Zoom and sign in. Is this legit?
Yes. I some cases VQF might ask you to accept Zoom, the format in which all our educational offerings were filmed. Then it may prompt you to input the email and password that you registered for the show with. Depending on your device’s individual security settings, you may only have to do this once, or not at all.
I still can’t see anything.
You may need to refresh your internet browser, or log out of the website/app and log back in. This is the most common solution. You may have to take an additional step to clear your browser cache/cookies.
I still still can’t see anything.
Contact Quilts, Inc. via email at email@example.com, and we will forward your message to Socio, our platform provider, for online help.
My video is fuzzy/choppy/freezes.
Your viewing experience may be affected by your device type, browser, or internet/wifi speed. But everything is loaded and ready to go.
Where do I get my class handouts?
On each individual class, lecture, or forum page, if the instructor has provided class materials, scroll to the bottom to see any PDFs or documents to download.
Can I still sign up for a class/lecture/forum? Can someone still buy a ticket?
No, both of those functions are no longer available.
Can I still shop?
Yes! The Vendor Mall and Vendor Products sections are open! And many exhibitors have posted show specials or product info in the Vendor Deals section.
Will you be doing another Virtual Quilt Festival?
While our focus will always be on in-person events, we will likely be doing more virtual or hybrid live and virtual events in the future!
How can I get the latest news and information about Quilt Festival?
