225. CLASS—IMPROV FROM A FASHION PHOTO
$105
Emma Jane Powell
Beginner/Intermediate, Project Oriented, Process Oriented, Sewing Machines Provided in Class
From a fashion photo, design a unique composition using elements of improv. While using the photo, provided by the instructor or your own, let the photo inspire color choices and fabric placement. No larger than a cafeteria tray, your piece will encourage you to break free of traditional piecing rules and challenge your creativity. Skills taught will include color and fabric combinations, improv straight and curved piecing, and putting together segments. The afternoon will be spent quilting, using a walking foot, and big stitch hand quilting using Perle cotton. Bring embellishments for added dimension. Finish this class inspired to create more expressive, spontaneous work in the future. www.dreamitquiltit.com
