Spring Quilt Market discontinued.

HOUSTON, TEXAS—October 23, 2025—Quilts, Inc.—the parent company of International Quilt Market and International Quilt Festival—today announced a major change in plans for its next show, scheduled for April 10-12, 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri at America’s Center. The dates will now feature the Quilt! Knit! Stitch! consumer show in place of a spring edition of the Quilt Market trade show.
“We’ve seen for some time that there was an interest in a public show that, while still quilt-focused, also included representation of related needle arts like knitting, sewing, crochet, embroidery, dressmaking, and DIY home décor projects. And that became even more evident at the recent Quilt Festival in Houston,” says Karey Bresenhan, President and CEO of Quilts, Inc.
“Especially among a younger demographic, who have gravitated to and are enjoying being creative in these hobbies and art forms. That’s where we will focus our direction and energies for next year. We’ve road-tested this concept previously and think now is the time for it to return.”
As for the spring edition of Quilt Market, Bresenhan notes that there will be no further plans to reintroduce the show. “We’ve heard from exhibitors and attendees clearly that business models have changed, and holding two Quilt Markets a year is no longer warranted,” she continues. “We both respect and understand that feedback.”
Exhibitor booth contracts will go out in November. Quilt! Knit! Stitch! will also feature a slate of classes and lectures, along with nearly 600 quilts and pieces of fabric art on display covering a wide range of styles, techniques, and time periods. More information will be released soon.
