Spend the day embellishing a one-of-a-kind Christmas tree. The base is a printed linen towel from the 1960s (included in kit). The first layer includes embroidered techniques as follows: Turkey stitch, Snowflake stitch, Faux Bullion candles, Woven Ribbed Ornament stitch, French knots, Satin stitch, Feather stitch, and beaded festoons. The second layer the students will make candy canes, mini beaded snowmen, felt poinsettias, mini felt ornaments, and vintage-looking Shiny Brite ornaments. There are many techniques that can be used on other projects. Prerequisite—a basic embroidery knowledge is helpful. Will not be finished in class. Finishes at 11 inches width x 14 inches height. Charms sold separately.
