This raw-edge, reverse appliqué technique allows you to do some simple preparation of your quilt sandwich and completely quilt it before worrying about the appliqué elements. Once the quilting is completely finished, decide on the design by marking areas that will be cut away to reveal the bright peek-a-boo fabric underneath.
