Everyone, Process Oriented, Mixed-Media
Can paper become cloth? Can it be used as fabric? Certainly! Explore Japanese paper manipulation techniques in this process workshop. Create a variety of layered papers with "Konnyaku" starch. "Momigami" presents a folding/kneading process. Many examples will be presented using kozo, rice paper, and easily accessible papers such as napkins, newspaper, old dress patterns, and book pages. Be inspired by the possibilities of Japanese paper manipulation. There will be no finished product. www.bethcunningham.com
