Whether you want to paint a whole quilt or just add shadows and highlights to existing fabrics, these pencils are a versatile, clean, and easy-to-use way to add dynamic details to your projects. Derwent Inktense Pencils are watercolor pencils in strong, vibrant colors which work beautifully on their own or can be mixed together to create rich, subtle tones. Too much fabric and not enough quilting time? Pick up a crochet hook and solve the problem! Beginner crochet skills can let you use that lovely fabric in new ways to make rugs, placemats, handbags, even three-dimensional containers. You'll need to cut fabric into uniform strips, then organize based on color. A jumbo crochet hook will do the job. View the demonstration, get quick crochet stitch instruction, and see great ideas for using your fabric stash in a new way.

Beverly Kirk—Kawandi Style Quilting

Kawandi stitching is mindful, meditative, improvisational, always less than perfect because it is made one scrap at a time. This popular type of hand quilting is a way to use easy big hand-stitches to create beautiful mats, runners, and full sized quilts using nothing but scraps. Kawandi means "quilt" and Siddi men and women stitched these coverings by using a simple running stitch in concentric rounds from the outside edge towards the middle, catching all the layers of fabric to fashion a quilt. The quilt starts at the top right corner and stitching continues in a counterclockwise spiral with hand-sewn patches of different sizes. www.bquiltin.com

Rachelle Ludwinski—Mandala Design Made Easy: Five Stitches, Endless Possibilities

Beautiful, embroidered mandalas do not require dozens of specialty stitches. In this demonstration, learn how five simple embroidery stitches can be combined, repeated, and varied to create intricate mandala designs. Discover how changes in spacing, size, thread, and placement transform basic stitches into stunning patterns. You'll see how organized repetition creates movement, texture, and visual interest while keeping the stitching approachable and enjoyable. Whether you are new to embroidery or an experienced stitcher looking for fresh design ideas, you'll leave inspired to create your own unique mandalas using stitches you may already know. www.threadsandmore.com

Cyndi McChesney—Help, My Panel is Wonky!

Wonky and skewed panels come with the challenge of creating panel quilts. Discover the simple secrets for straightening all types of panels for use in existing patterns or your own designs.  www.cedarridgequilting.com

RaNae Merrill—The 1-Hour Quilt Top

Use the power of border prints and strip sets to make beautiful quilts that you can assemble quickly and easily in about an hour. The quilts can be rectangular, square, or diamond-in-a-square in any size. Watch RaNae complete whole quilt tops during the 2-hour sampler period! Great for making multiple quilts for family, charity, or coordinating decor. www.ranaemerrillquilts.com

Mona Young Redlich—PatchworkPlay™ Fabric Stamps—Turn Prep Time Into Stitch Time

A challenge when hand piecing is the time it takes to hand mark patches before being able to begin stitching. To solve that problem, Mona created PatchworkPlay™ Fabric Stamps which reduce hand piecing prep time by as much as 90%! Mona will demonstrate the ease of the hand piecing prep, which takes mere seconds and creates consistent stitching lines for precise piecing. PatchworkPlay™ Fabric Stamps' accuracy also allows a quilter to "play" by combining patches from different stamps, making traditional or original blocks and quilts. In the Sampler, we'll stamp, play, and stitch with PatchworkPlay™ fabric stamps!
