Enjoy a full day of handwork while working on a pre-pieced background provided in kit. This project combines Crazy work, embroidery, and embellishing. Learn layout and design using laces, trims, hanky, beads, etc. Glue basting will expedite the process. Includes making tomato pin cushion, and scissor, needle, and thimble pockets. Techniques include back stitch, double feather, lazy daisy, spoked two-tone roses, fishbone, blanket, stem, French knot, rosette, and coiled flower. Crazy piecing, dying lace, and printing on fabric will be discussed. Great masterpiece for any studio/sewing room and it stores common sewing essentials! Will not be finished in class. Prerequisite—basic embroidery knowledge is helpful. Sewing machine with background is 15 inches x 18 inches. Charms sold separately.
