Calling all machine quilting enthusiasts! Six of the top machine quilting artists from the Quilt Festival faculty will present this focus, coordinated by Jenny K. Lyon. Each will give a digital presentation or show-and-tell of their particular expertise. Then spend fifteen minutes with each machine quilting artist as they demonstrate the topics listed below.
Go home with a booklet consisting of a handout from each designer, new machine quilting skills, and lots of enthusiasm.
Nina Clotfelter—Take the Guesswork Out of Making Feathers!
Clotfelter LOVES feathers and also loves sharing this passion! She will show you several ways to make feathers so you can find what will work for you! Learn how to successfully use stencils and incorporate other stitching aids into your embroidered creations. Demonstrations will include how to use art templates and tape for perfectly spaced stitches. Twenty-three Festival teachers at separate tables around the room offer continuous demonstrations of particular techniques and methods. Enrollees circulate around the room informally and receive a booklet consisting of a handout from each participating teacher.
